Mathias Maier
Hi guys, just want to show you my Darlingtonia typ Pygmy. I just got it last weekend, its quite small, smaller than a one Euro coin. But its in a maximum size! This plant is more than 3 years old! But it produce no stolons and i think its also not able to flower... So will be a hard job to propagate it. Anybody of you have it in cultivation or know something about it? I now that it is from IV, and a failed experiment... so anybody of you have more Infos about it? I think its one of the last plants in cultivation... I made a rhizom cutting, and hope that it will grow..

FredG
I can't get over all that space in Mathias' greenhouse. I'm almost back to standing on one leg on tiptoe in all mine. (The stilts are on standby)

Stu
I wasn't aware of this type in cultivation. I'm usually a fan of miniature scale things (plants included) but this looks odd to me - you can tell it's a mutant and not quite right! It is missing the grace and form of the Darlingtonia pitcher (no matter what size). It's hard to see.. are the traps/pitchers fully formed?.. I.e. able to trap prey? Mathias Maier
@FredG it's not that much space it looks like... I I really have no space, everything is full, seriously! @sTu yes, the traps are fully formed. Also with the tongue and the pitchers are also open. But I don't think, that it can catch pray... maybe some very small flys...
