stolen photo from Ebay, anyone know who this is?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know who this seller is, and their contact info/email address? They're using my photo without permission: http://www.ebay.it/itm/20-SEMI-PIANTA-CARNIVORA-SARRACENIA-FLAVA-VAR-RUGELLI-MK-GUIDA-IN-REGALO-/291398411459?pt=Piante&hash=item43d8b2e4c3

Thank you!

Thank you Ptaah!  Looks like they stole another photo as well: http://www.ebay.it/itm/PIANTA-CARNIVORA-SARRACENIA-FLAVA-VAR-CUPREA-RIZOMA-TAGLIA-EXTRA-LARGE-/291405159667?pt=Piante&hash=item43d919dcf3

They took down the flava rugelii photo and replaced it with someone else's!  I'm surprised they don't just ask for permission, most of us are more than happy to let others use our photos!

Could he be connected (or just trying to imply he is connected?) to this:

http://www.ilgrappolodilazise.com/Parks/parco-natura-viva.html

They are in Italy, they have carnivorous plants and he uses this name.....or else that might be used without permission too...

The Ebay seller was using the first picture you pointed out but when I clicked on 'see other items' I saw the other picture you pointed out later.

I have no idea if the website is linked to that Ebay account, the Ebay seller may have just used the name because he liked it or using it as a red herring.

People do use others photo's from time to time but then it gets worse when they are displaying a picture not even representing what they are actually selling or just pretending to have the plant.

Ian.

I have the same thing with a seller using two of my photographs. I have complained to Ebay, they sounded very helpful but have not removed the offending item. The use of my photographs was reported to me by a regular customer, I‘m really concerned that the buyer will not get the plant in the photograph, or it will be a bad buy for some other reason, and then think that he has bought from me just because it is my photograph. Seller is akab52.

Recently theres been a spate of neps for sale with entirely the wrong species shown in the photo, this is just false advertising plain and simple, im sure the photos are stolen but not from me so i havent yet complained about it.

Les,what is he selling?

found them, and using one of Aidans photo's too.

i hope he is selling the real thing,or i've been conned too ,by a good photo.

If i have been conned,i will name and shame him on here address too!

just got to wait while it flowers.

If all is well i will post a photo and say so too.can't be fairer than that.
