When to start watering?

I have P. gypsicola.  I've been keeping mine bone dry over the winter for about a week at a time then giving it a little bit of water.  No idea if I'm doing it right or not. As for watering it normally then I'd wait for the leaves to start changing to carnivorous ones. I reckon the best person to ask would be Dianne. That's who I got mine from. If I'm speaking to her tonight I'll ask for you.

As usual I've been watering all my Mexican Pings on and off throughout the winter, less than during the growing season for sure but I still like to keep them moist. P Cyclosecta is flowering at the moment...doesn't seem right to reward all its hard work by keeping it bone dry

Odd plant gypsicola. Got one for my 'terrarium' which is warm enough for Neps and it has gone dormant.

I have moved it to a cool windowsill for the moment. Strange that it headed into dormancy in an entirely artificial environment though.

Did it go into dormancy because of the higher temps? That is my current theory. It 'figured' that it was Mexican Summer and so time to go dormant.

Martin, I was speaking to Dianne tonight and she said she started giving a little water a couple of weeks ago to start waking them up.

OK, I'll take Dianne's advice as that's where the P. gypsicola came from anyway. They're both still green so they've not died from being dry.

Thanks,
