Little-Bacchus
For any that are interested the BBC are running the 1980's series of Day of the Triffids. Episode one to four are available on Iplayer. I'm sure that this series had some influence on my interest in carnivorous plants. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0074t1j/the-day-of-the-triffids-episode-1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0074t2k/the-day-of-the-triffids-episode-2 http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0074t39/the-day-of-the-triffids-episode-3 http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0074t47/the-day-of-the-triffids-episode-
linuxman
Best adaptation of the book ever done. Way better than the film.
FredG
The radio series was good too
CephFan
Like Fred I really enjoyed the radio adaption too (I am a fan of Radio4 extra even if they did reduce the daily Sci Fi & horror hour to once a week - bad BBC!). I have looked at the iPlayer options for this series since LB's post and for some reason I can only downloa eps 3&4. Eps 1&2 will stream but not download... still going to watch it though! Janine
Too sad, I only get this notice: "BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only." Never heard of this serie before, but looks funny
FredG
Janine, the BBC TV series DVD is available from Amazon. I have it Steve, I meant the original Light Programme series not the later remake with Peter Sallis
