I think you guys already know about my cephalotus's condition.:P

He looks really died. But.. I want to make sure that it's live or dead, I dig little bit to see the rhisom.

Let's see this pictures.

You can see the big black Y on the middle - left side.

I think that's the rhisom.

It was black and hard, like a little branch of a tree.

Is it nomal state of Cephalotus's rhisom?

But, there was no green, just black and hard. Not soft.

It's already have passed 15days since I repotted.

Thank you for your answers!

Regard.

(What is this mean? Is it polite expression? How about 'guys'?

Is it too pretentious? When I write sth on this forum, I always try to be seen 'polite man', but I don't know many words to be 'polite'.:D

Both 'Regards' and 'Guys' are informal and are fine to use on a forum. If you have asked a question then you could also finish with 'Thanks', which again is informal.

For example:

Hi, I have a problem with my widget and would like to ask you for your advice.

Thanks,

Jacob

If it is hard then there is still hope.  It is when it goes soft and crumbles then all is lost.  Leave it be and see what happens.  A bit of sphagnum around it will allow some light to get to the rhizome, but it will be fine under the peat.

Black is not the best colour though, so at this stage it is hard to say if it is dead or not.  Only time will tell.

If your Cephalotus is still alive, it's going to take a LONG time to slowly start showing new growth, so as Fred and Pulsar have said, leave it alone and stop disturbing the soil. I thought i had lost one of my Ceph's when it blackened off to soil level, but 6 months later there was new growth, so be very patient. There's no guarantee yours will come back in the same way, but leave the pot alone and you never know

All the best !
