meizwang
here's an amazing clone bred by Brooks Garcia and grown out by Rob Co. The name is in honor of Adrian Slack and Leah Wilkerson-2 legacies in the carnivorous plant world that will live past our time. Photos below were taken in late April/early May. A proven winner even when grown outdoors, which in my mind, makes it a solid cultivar. This is one of the most outstanding plants I've ever seen: One last photo, and yes, these pics definitely do this clone justice! Just to make sure I didn't open a can of worms: Rob is still working on this clone, and has intentions to register it and get it out into circulation. Please give him AT LEAST a good 2-3 years of time to produce clones, as this plant is still very brand new to cultivation. I am merely a custodian of this plant for the time being, and he still has the rights to it.

linuxman
Really terrific looking plant Mike. If my AS and LW flower at the same time I'll have to try making one of these as well
meizwang
Sorry Ada, hopefully, we'll get the export permits all figured out in the future so that won't be a problem. And don't worry, the general public in the US haven't been able to acquire this clone yet, so don't feel left out. This clone is still very new to cultivation, and it takes a while to reproduce even under ideal conditions. Linuxman-The first time I saw this plant growing in Rob Co's greenhouse, I thought the same thing, so I made the exact cross, and have a seed batch growing out as we speak. Unfortunately, even with a large number of seedlings, I have yet to come across anything that looks remotely close to this plant. In fact, not sure if I had any luck, as I don't see anything yet that looks all that great. Breeding is not just skill and a numbers game, it's also about having good luck! On the other hand, Miroslav has made this exact cross, and you can see the results here: http://www.sarracenia.cz/breeding/index.html He definitely lucked out and got some nice plants, even some that could be named, but nothing that looks like S. x Legacy. I'd like to see the lid on some of his selections, I bet they look really nice!

Can't guess how many hundreds of seedlings you need to grow to select something that good. But maybe I'll be lucky
