we buy live sphagnum to use in hanging baskets at work from the forestry/logging not the cheapest out there but its generally good

not sure of the exact price at the moment as ive not asked what it costs but id estimate about £15-20 plus postage for a bag containing 20+kg

With sphagnum if I buy a small bit will it spread quickly? I was wondering if I could cultivate it.

Small and quickly are relative terms. You can cultivate it and can get enough to top dress in time. If you want to plant up a few trays then I suggest you get 5kg and take it from there

Short growing and will move from 'blackcurrant' to green depending upon light recieved.

Things I do for you lot eh ... (just ran outside, grabbed an example, phograped it and posted it here in 2mins) (D. anglica in said sphag) ...

I'll second that. Jacalyn supplies both red and green Sphagnum. The green is the more vigorous.

Could you PM me the link please

I could swear that he posted a link Shoultsy

Had to laugh when the the delivery guy said ... I don't normally ask, but what is it?

I quickly grabbed a blade and opened the top of the bag to reveal the sphag.

Delivery guy: that is not what I guessed :Laie_97:
