Still looking great with it's pot mate, I'd be to anal about the roots getting in an untangleable ball to allow anything else in the pot. It does look awesome though, nice work Carl. I know what you mean, but I'm not scared of being a little ruthless when it comes to untangling roots when repotting. Indeed, the plant actually looks like it enjoys being entangled.
