Maiden
Hello guys Im about to order an nep argentii, and i can read on some websites that specie is picky and hard to grow. If i put the plant in the same tank with my nep hamata and tenuis(both plants just thrive), it will be ok ? Days/nights temperatures will be 24C/18C and RH% at 80%. Thanks! Dicon
i think your night temps will be too high. you will need to provide lots of air movement too. it is tricky, maybe you would do better with glabrata, although, whilst it grows naturally alongside hamata, it too would still prefer it a bit cooler. Zlatokrt
Well, i have only a small plant and i have heard, that young plants are less difficult, but i have it for about 2 years now and it is growing very nicely and quite easy - from tiny seedling about 4 cm in diameter it is now about 10 cm in diameter with nice 1 cm pitchers. In summer, i definitelly do not have night temps below 18 °C (and now the temp falls min. to 13 °C, usually about 15 °C). I think that air movement and not too wet soil mix is more important. It also seems to like strong light.

ifurita
Just my 2 cents: I'm growing this one with day/night temps of 30+C/20C with RH of ~80% and very little air movement, yet It actually seems to like these conditions. Perhaps the high day temps are okay because of the large temp drop at night?
Maiden
Maybe. With thoses temperatures, the pitchers shape is normal ? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Edited March 10, 2014 by Maiden
ifurita
Yup, the pitcher shape is normal, plus its pitchering on every leaf. Its been fairly hot and dry recently(~35C days) and the plant is still going strong.
