Fernando Rivadavia
Hello everyone, My friend Ron Parsons (author of the recent compendium of miniature orchids: http://www.redfernnaturalhistory.com/books/a-compendium-of-miniature-orchid-species-vol-1/) recently visited Ecuador and found and photographed a few beautiful CPs while there, which he kindly allowed me to share here. The rarely photographed P.calyptrara: The tiny, but beautiful, epiphytic U.jamesoniana: The also rarely photographed (and also epiphytic) U.endresii: All the best, Fernando Rivadavia

longma
Wonderful images of some very special plants. Quite some variation amongst the P. calyptrata flowers. What wonderful finds. Thanks to Ron and yourself for showing them to us.
RL7836
Wow Fernando! Thanks for sharing these pics (& to your buddy for sharing them with you). The colors in the U. jamesoniana are incredibly vibrant - any idea of the elevations at which the utrics were found? The U. endresii flower looks like it has not completely unfolded yet. Mine also stayed folded until a bit of wind hit them (well, since there is no wind in my basement - the 'wind' took the form of a finger poke). Daniel O.
Hi Fernando, thanks for sharing these beauties. What a pity that P. calyptrata is not in cultivation yet. Hasn´t he found U. unifolia? Best regards, Dani
Rodrigo
Rivadavia, without a doubt this is a nice find, especially from U.endresii. Many thanks for posting these pictures forum. Daniel, if i'm not mistaken is a member of this community that was selling seeds of this plant (P. calyptrata), take a look at the room "Sales & Wants" (sub-room for "Sales & Wants - UK & EU") which i believe his ad should still be there. Best regards, Rodrigo
