growing fly traps from seed

Recommended Posts

You don't say where or how you tried to grow them.Firstly try going with nature,i.e sow them at the right time, early spring.

second, sow them onto some old weathered compost, leave a pot of compost outside all winter. This will allow all the bacteria and mould to come to a natural balance and not rot your seeds.

Third, fresh seeds! some can be years old.

Don't cover the seeds with compost or a lid, keep it damp/wet and well ventilated, greenhouse or sunny window cill will do.

My kids managed this all by themselves and have grown seeds from their original seeds too,so its not hard.
