MikePC
Hi Sorry if anyone has asked about this before, but are there any regulations on bringing plants back from this type of show, anything that customs would require paperwork for? Thanks Mike
dennisB
Hi Mike this is the advice from the RHS: "Within the European Union (EU) there are no border checks for plants and plant products travelling between member states and, it is possible, to import and export plants freely with very few exceptions." The exceptions do not include carnivorous plants. cheers Dennis

maurizio
To reach Botanical Garden from Venice Airport: Cab. It has to be reserved within 72 hours before, writing to [email protected] with the subject "EEE2014 - Padova". There are special rates and they can organize groups thus reducing the expense. You can find the HelpDesk in the Arrival Hall (here a map http://www.veneziaportaest.com/docs/EN_desk_veneziaportaest.pdf) Here the special rates, Prices VAT included: Up to 2 pax: € 88,00 Up to 4 pax: € 99,00 Up to 6 pax: € 110,00 Up to 8 pax: € 121,00 Night Surcharge (21.00/07.00): + € 11,00 per transfer Prepayment via bank transfer, visa/mastercard or paypal. More expensive but simpler and faster than bus. The travel takes about 1 hour. Bus. At the airport you will find the reception service where you can make the ticket (€ 8.50). There is a bus each hour (8:05, 9:05, 10:05 ...) that arrives in Padua near the train station. Then you have to take the metro (€ 1.50) to arrive at Piazza delle Erbe or S. Antonio. So low prices but a little complicated and it takes about 2 hours. Edited August 26, 2014 by maurizio
