Few problems

Not sure. I would stear away from the exotic and unusual for the time being and stick to something thats proven to work until you plants have recovered. If your buying of ebay I would stick to moss peat and perlite or sand.

I did an ebay search with 'carnivorous compost' below is the search result, theres many to choose from

Repot asap in the proper stuff. If you can get hold of some sphagnum you can wash the soil off the plants and plant in this, at least on a temporary basis until you get some suitable peat

Be warned, just as not all 'peat' is peat, not all moss is Sphagnum. Actually I've found Sphagnum harder to get than peat. Pure lime-free sand might also suffice as a temporary emergency stop-gap, but keep it sitting in water.

Can I use coir bricks instead of peat. I cannot find peat to save my life for a cheap rate. Also I only want a few litres.

Bought 1 brick. Only have a few to re pot so this should be fine for me. I'll let you know how they get on.

So I don't know whether myorder has been despatched yet and my vft's are looking worse. Should I take them out and wash all the soil off. Maybe I could use tissue to cover them for a while so they can hang on? Would cotton wool support them? Some crazy ideas to save my plants.

You can take them out of the soil and wash them off in rain water. Then wrap the roots in damp kitchen roll, stick the whole lot in a plastic bag and pop them in the fridge untill ready to repot. A few days in the cool will do them no damage. It will be safer than having them where they could dry out or get too hot without the protection of the soil.
