The body snatcher pod
I allways see black plastic on the floor of this kind of trays. But, (speaking from my complety ignorance) shoudn´t be better a white plastic? In the summer, black plastic should overheat a lot. Heating watter and the pots with it. Why is using of white plastic so little (or nothing) overspread? I see everybody uses it, so I know plants don´t die in there, and grow well. But, could be possible plants do grow better with a clearer ground and cooler roots?
Alexis
In spring and autumn black plastic will radiate out a little heat during the night presumably? Could help in cooler climates, like the UK
gardenofeden
White plastic breaks down in sunlight more quickly....
olive84
Yes it is true Stephen, i looked for white plastic bu there is just plastic EPDM in color black which is rather resistant. Oliv
