Great growing - congratulations & thanks for sharing!

Did your U. campbelliana ever finish flowering from January? Your U. mannii seems like a very robust grower - what media do you use for it (& the quelchii & campbelliana)?

Hi,

Utricularia mannii is indeed a robust grower at least for me, but the most difficult part is the dormancy I guess - let's see how this works...

It is growing in peat with few perlite and maybe a perlite/sand drainage, but I'm not sure about that anymore. Utricularia quelchii is growing in pure living sphagnum with some sand in it.

Utricularia campbelliana is growing in a small clay pot with sand, some xaxim waste from cutting, small pine bark pieces, a bit of perlite and an unknown moss. It's standing in a small tray which I fill up with water every day or second, because the water is evaporating so fast and by that keeps the pot always cool. With this method I have the best experience sofar...

Did your U. campbelliana ever finish flowering from January?

To some point I thought the flower stalk is progressing quite fast, but the most time consuming part seems to be the development of the bud. I hope it's not stuck in this stage... :S

Does someone has the same experience with this species?

Hi,

here some news from my basement...

One of my dream when I started with this hobby - to get Utricularia menziesii to flower!

11016727675_085eb0f4e1_o.jpg

U. jamesoniana is doing great on the small bark and starts to explore it a bit more after I added some moss...

11016839266_b2121a58aa_o.jpg

Mainly different Heliamphora exappendiculata...

11016856336_efded790cc_o.jpg

Two Heliamphora minor var. pilosa clones from Auyan Tepui, my crowded Drosera pot (four roraime locations, two hirticalyx, solaris, kaieteurensis, spec. Auyan, meristocaulis) and many many different Heliamphora pulchella...

11016935024_aab4d55de4_o.jpg

Stegolepsis hitchcockii, which should get some blue leafs with better light conditions...

11016846256_8a86d47a5b_o.jpg

Cheers
