gardenofeden
Not sure what to call them, but I got a tub of these yesterday which I thought people might find interesting. They are agar balls with "propagules" of sphagnum moss incorporated, they are used to reseed degraded moorlands which have lost Sphagnum due to burning or pollution, quite a new innovation. I have scattered them over a tray of substrate, and will keep them watered to see if I can get them to "germinate"... gardenofeden
they are used in moorland restoration projects, and I got them through work, not sure if they are available for retail.... I believe the correct term for these is beader moss, if you Google that with 'Moors for the Future' you can get further information. http://www.moorsforthefuture.org.uk/node/144 Edited July 11, 2012 by gardenofeden

SoLongFairWell
http://sphagnum.co.uk/ No sign of them selling though. I suppose you could send them an email.
nadja77
Very interesting! I wonder what sort of paper work is required to import/export these once available.
