linuxman
Here are some pictures of a plant I bought from B&Q last year. I believe it's a S. purpurea ssp.venosa var. venosa. Correct do you think?
meizwang
That's a rosea, right? Thanks for sharing!
Gekon
Didin't knew that you can get CP's from B&Q Nice plant! P.S At first I thought it's says ''BBQ Purpurea''
mobile
Didin't knew that you can get CP's from B&Q Nice plant! They often have them in. I got a Nepenthes albomarginata from them last year.

linuxman
Purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii Is that based on the stylar disc colour? The petals are actually a darker red than the photos indicate that tends to suggest venosa. Whereas the wide nectar roll points to burkii. The large pitchers also suggests burkii. The sepals are red but tend to white on the inside which doesn't help decide either way. I've got another plant about to flower that is labelled burkii (from Hampshire Carnivorous Plants) that will be good for comparison. Cheers,
Alexis
I'm going by the white style and shape of the pitchers. The petal colours can range from reddy-pink, through to magenta, pink or pinky-white. It looks like it's in the redder end of the spectrum for colour. The height of the scape seems quite tall though, so I wouldn't rule out some other purpurea subspecies genes. Either that or the flower height isn't always as short as the general consensus. meizwang
P.S At first I thought it's says ''BBQ Purpurea'' HAHA, at a first glance, I thought I saw the same thing. That'd be a catchy cultivar name, and forget the "bug" series... you could have a BBQ series: S. x BBQ purp ribs, S. x BBQ flava'd sauce, etc.
