Hi folks, just wondering how S. flava and S. oreophila will grow in mostly low light conditions; I live in a bedsit with brick wall about 2 feet away from my window (sounds fun, but hey the rents cheep, lol). my window sill gets about 2-3 hours of direct sun a day, between about 10 and 1 as it is south-facing.

Will my plants be healthy in this low light, and can anyone recommend a species that thrives in a little direct sun?

Cheers all.

Sarracenia originate from areas which experience fierce levels of sunshine and are I regret are unlikely to grow well on your windowsill in the long term.

A fair variety I think. Cephalotus would be OK as would some Utricularia and Nepenthes

Other members will have to recommend which ones as currently I grow only one Utric and one Nep!

...and of course, some of the Drosera.
