D. spiralis x tomentosa var. tomentosa

Many thanks again, i´m really happy you like the flowers.

@Carlos, a name for this hybrid?

Hmmm, perhaps you are right but i´m a chemist and not a botanist who could describe this crossing.

Best regards,

Dani

P.S.: The next crossing i will show in a few weeks has also D. spiralis as a parent.

Hi all,

here is a little update.

P1250819a.jpg

P1250824a.jpg

Meanwhile the plant has a few more active leafes than before but it seems as if it will not get much bigger in diameter.

But the bad news is that no seed was formed nethertheless i pollinated it by hand, so it seems to be steril.

At least leaf cuttings work.

Best regards,

Dani

Carlos, in reality it looks even better than on the pictures.

Soon you will see it with one´s own eyes.

Fernando, as this crossing produces relatively long roots this will be the way to propagate it. Leafcuttings work as well.

A few months ago i tried also the reciprocal crossing and the resulting seed germinated as well, it will be interesting to see if these plants will look identical to this crossing.

BTW, soon i will show the next crossing with D. spiralis as a parent, it´s also a really nice one.

Best regards,

Dani
