Daniel O.
Many thanks again, i´m really happy you like the flowers. @Carlos, a name for this hybrid? Hmmm, perhaps you are right but i´m a chemist and not a botanist who could describe this crossing. Best regards, Dani P.S.: The next crossing i will show in a few weeks has also D. spiralis as a parent. Edited February 4, 2012 by Daniel O. Daniel O.
Hi all, here is a little update. Meanwhile the plant has a few more active leafes than before but it seems as if it will not get much bigger in diameter. But the bad news is that no seed was formed nethertheless i pollinated it by hand, so it seems to be steril. At least leaf cuttings work. Fernando Rivadavia
Thanks Dani, I would be VERY surprised if it was fertile! Fernando
Carlos Rohrbacher
Hi Daniel, this picture remember to me a D. graminifolia seedling. Nice plant.
Daniel O.
Carlos, in reality it looks even better than on the pictures. Soon you will see it with one´s own eyes. Fernando, as this crossing produces relatively long roots this will be the way to propagate it. Leafcuttings work as well. A few months ago i tried also the reciprocal crossing and the resulting seed germinated as well, it will be interesting to see if these plants will look identical to this crossing. BTW, soon i will show the next crossing with D. spiralis as a parent, it´s also a really nice one. Best regards, Dani Edited April 25, 2012 by Daniel O.
