Neps at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Lot's of pictures!

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I wasn't sure what the best sub-forum would be.

The Tropical Centre in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney, has a surprising variety of CP's, with large pots of Sarracenia's and Drosera's out the front and some beautiful Nepenthes inside. The Sarracenia's were dormant when I went but I had seen them before on other occassions.

I couldn't find the label for this plant, I think it's a hirsuta:

When I saw the first photo, the N. alata, I thought this would be one of those boring pic threads. . . but then the next one was a gorgeous N. burbidgeae! :JC_cupidboy: Wow! Fantastic Nep collection, I also enjoyed the Masdevallias and Dracs. Thanks for sharing. . .

Gald that you enjoyed them. It's one thing to see these plants in photos, another thing to see them in person. N. truncata, vietchii and burbidgeae have shot up on my wanted list as a result.

Thanks for the photos. It seem they have managed to get together some very nice plants in their collection.

BTW, I wonder if that Dracula might be D. bella, instead of D. cordobae.

Regards,

Christer

Yes, it's a quite nice collection, and I believe there are plans to expand it in the near future.

I think you may be right about the Dracula orchid as well, it does look a lot like D. bella, I'll edit the original post.
