London to Chester?

Recommended Posts

Which ever airport you will probably have to go to the city to get a train (fastest) or coach (cheapest) to chester. There are train and coach links from the airports to london take your pick.

....or (if possible) fly to Manchester or Liverpool. Chester is a whole lot nearer.......

I agree that would be the best way if possible. If you have travelled by coach from south to north before you know its not a pleasant experience, with the extended stops in birmingham that I always seem to have had.

There are about five London airports. For coaches, try www.nationalexpress.com

The main station for coaches is London Victoria. It is slightly lumpy to come in from one of the main airports to London Victoria. You may be better to go by coach directly from the London airport.

Thanks for the advice's.

Im arriving at Heathrow terminal three. Is it that large so every terminal has it's own station? Or are they different airports?

Too late to switch flight now :S

So will take train or buss. How long is the journey by buss?

Best regards

/Alfred

Depends on which coach you get, which will depend on your arrival time. Fast coach (bus) is approximately 5 hours from London to Chester and slowest is approximately 8 hours. These are between London Victoria and Chester, so you would need connecting links to get from/to airport and zoo.

National Express Coaches website: http://www.nationale...coach/index.cfm

By train (rail), from London Euston to Chester takes approximately 2 hours.

Trainline website: http://www.thetrainl...om/buytickets/?

EEE2011 website has some information too: http://www.eee2011.co.uk/index.php?p=directions

Thanks mobile!

How far is it from Terminal 3 to London Victoria?

Bus seems very price-worthy but not many the works with the planes I travel with.

Whats London Euston (sorry for my bad geographic skills  ), Is it far from T3 do you think?

It would cost between £50-£70 for a return (two-way) ticket on the train, depending on times.

London Euston is one of the railway stations in London. Long time since I took the Journey between Heathrow and Euston, but I believe that you can take the underground. This site will be of help: http://www.londontoolkit.com/accommodation/euston_transfers.htm

For Heathrow to Victoria this may be of help: http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_bus.htm, or you could take the underground.

You perhaps need to decide on whether you are taking train or coach and give estimated times of when you will be arriving at Heathrow, then people might be able to give a little more details on transport links. There's even a possibility that someone might be taking the same journey.

Thanks again for your advice mobile :D

I arrive at 15.50 T3, seems like theres no busses at that time.

Wow, when I used the site It said the ticket cost around 130 £ one-way?

Is it best to buy ticket from the computer at home, or at the station?

So Euston is the best place to begin the journey to Chester?

Ops :whistling:

On the first of July.

OK, that's a weekday and at peak time, so train prices are high. Try Trainline again look at the 17:10 from Euston (EUS) to Chester (CTR). That's showing as £59.50. Return fares on Sunday 3rd are showing as £35.00.

I see. Well thats great because it'still much cheaper than when I checked.

And It's quite easy to get from T3 to Euston I guess? (I will check your links tomorrow, think the answer is there).

Thanks again for your help :)
