moof
Building walls, especially white ones during the day, they often go out of their hiding places during sunny and warm/hot days. Peter
James O'Neill
I often find Zebra jumping spiders on, as Peter said, white and grey walls. They are some of the most advanced arachanids, and are absolutely fascinating! If you wave your finger above its head, it will follow it with its eyes. Very cool. rob158
I have one that lives in the greenhouse on the garlic plants, it must like the warmth, or the smell of garlic, Zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) by Robert wright., on Flickr
rsivertsen
These guys are almost everywhere! They are perhaps the most ubiquitous spiders of all, some being found only in small areas, such as roof tops of certain buildings; I 've seen them on my windowsills, my backyard railings, my rock walls, my driveway, etc. , and often, each niche produces a very different species. There are probably enough new species of these guys to support a PhD thesis! They are also close relatives of the monstrously large tarantula spiders! :)
