Is this flava var. maxima?

Recommended Posts

Recieved this plant back in spring as a flava var. maxima, however with the opening of this new pitcher im starting to have doubts, arn't maxima's meant to be all green?

Thanks, i'll keep an eye on it. The earlier pitcher at the back it produced is all green and always was, hope the other will fade. I wouldn't worry too much but i bought another var. maxima -North Carolina from the same selller and its a joke.

I have an S.var Maxima which i bought from a CP grower, its been green for two years now, i keep my plants on window ledge and put outside in the summer, [only have small yard!] well last year my Maxima was green, this year its got a new picther coming up, like a normal Flava, yellow with red veining!

I'd expect a S. flava var maxima to be all green and S. flava cv 'Maxima' to look like a normal flava, albeit a robust clone.

Did you buy it as maxima? Slack named a cultivar maxima that has a Lil red in the throat, ths plant is easy to distinguish as it has a bluey tint to it. Photo would help.
