-Xeno-
That's strange but awesome at the same time, I can't imagine you'll have any problems with finding something for leaf cuttings. Edited May 6, 2011 by -Xeno-
petesredtraps
Mine are still asleep ,with the exception of Eden Black which has shown it's face. For good measure I examined a "Typical", roots are fine, nice & solid with a healthy maroony brown colour. They're just taking their time, maybe still a little shell shocked by that damnable Winter we've just endured.
dimitar
Hi Carl, great plant u got there indeed. But on the second picture, to me it seems that one of the pitcher is with powdery mildew. Is it like this or it's just the photo? Cheers, Dimitar

Is it like this or it's just the photo? Cheers, Dimitar I can't see any obvious mildew, on my cephs if they get powdery mildew it's usually very plain to see, they could just be old pitchers. mobile
Hi Carl, great plant u got there indeed. But on the second picture, to me it seems that one of the pitcher is with powdery mildew. Is it like this or it's just the photo? Cheers, Dimitar I was waiting for someone to notice The old pitchers tend to get a black mildew, though it doesn't appear to do any harm to the plant. It started to get it after repotting into a dried Sphagnum moss based substrate, which I no longer use as a Cephalotus mix, but haven't got around to repotting this plant and I won't do so until at least late autumn. Now and again I remove the affected pitchers or spray with fungicide, but it always comes back.

thez_yo
Mine are doing the same exact things, with no new pitchers on anything yet except for the German Giant In fact, they're still growing in new non-carnivorous leaves!
gardenofeden
black mildew=sooty mould I think, grows on nectar powdery mildew often leaves these typical red marks on leaves in advanced stage.....I noticed but did not want to embarrass you... RL7836
Wow! Amazing number of leaves. I'm having the opposite issue with my "Czech Giant" plant as it rarely puts out leaves and none of any size...

Yes, I've seen red marks on leaves. I've tried to get rid of it, but to no avail. It's on a sunny windowsill, which frequently has the window open and it's only watered when needed. No problems with mildew on this plant for years, until I used dried Sphagnum moss
maxxima
What a nice find! (For me anyway) Thanks for sharing. I had opened a thread on another cp forum wondering if I should be worried about this "leaf attack" of my own plant; but it turns out that it's only a seasonal effect.
