darlingtonia growth + flowering

Recommended Posts

My darlingtonia that i grow from seed is currently flowering for the first time, how can I see that the seed is ready to harvest and how much seed can I expect from 1 fllower?

My biggest pitcher last year was 33cm, wondering what it will be this year.

The seed pod will split in the autumn when the seeds are ripe.

You can probably expect at least 1000 seeds from a fully pollinated seed pod if not more.

Thanks, the waiting from growing from seed payed off. I have 2 different clones that grow very good. This year I planted out some divisions of both of that plants (see picture) and with the growing rate of those clones I expect to be grown a lot, wil take a new picture every now and then. Each container has a different clone.
