Rob-Rah
I have this sundew accquired as D. spatulata, but recently, becuase I am no expert on these, I'd like to confirm its identity, wondering whether it's something else. Do any of the sundew people here know better? Thanks for any input.
Sean Spence
It definitely looks like a spatulata to me.
JanW
You understood that wrong, I think ... The normal way is: You get a rare species, a real gem and than you see its not the real thing but d.spatulata... I always hate that moment!!! AdamH
Yup - like my D.affinis (seed from a supposedly reputable supplier) - turned into D.pseudoaffinis (aka D.spatulata) !!!! Anyway Rob, your plant definately looks D.spatulataesque to me. I actually like this species!
Rob-Rah
Yeah, I have been down that route before too! Just thought I'd check, as I had no certainty that this was spatulata. I like it too. But not its seeds everywhere.
Guest Tamlin Dawnstar
Nice D. spatulata. This is the first topic post on the subject I think I have ever seen where the species name was correctly spelled *every* time. I am impressed! Jan, I am not fond of that moment either. I renamed the species Drosera dissapointum, and I have many, many varieties
JanW
William, as you a are a W.E.I.R.D, you will complete the task sooner or later, I am sure!
