Guest reamer
hi all this plant was at first sold to me hiding in some Ricca.and it has out grown and killed off all the riccia. i believe it looks to be some kinda bladderwort. (i'm thinking u.gibba) i was asking some people on an aquascaping forum and they also believe it might be U.gibba, most of them think i get rid of it "worse then any algae." but i feel that be a good waist of a plant that can make such nice flowers. so what im asking is, what would be the best way for me to make this happen?, as i have never grown Utricularia before. or if i even can trick the plant in to flowering in the winter. I do have a small indoor "green house" where i can control "the environment."
gardenofeden
looks a bit like gibba....only times I have managed to get this to flower is in really shallow trays, grows in my water trays. During hot summers, as the levels drop, it flowers well! Replicate this and you may get results. MFS
My U. gibba flowers profusely when it gets very matted and dense, outdoors in a temperate climate.
