Binataboy
How can you live somwhere that gets that cold!! At the moment its 8 in the morning and 27c, tommorow should be 38 and sunny, that's how Christmas should be! Tommorow will be spent out under the patio with a good feed and a COLD beer (or two...), and the in-laws, I didn't say it was going to be perfect ;) Cheers George

A traditional Christmas conjures up images of snow and unwrapping presents sat around a log fire. Santa even rides a sleigh, which is a mode of transport that requires snow. Don't get me wrong, I envy your weather, just not at Christmas time.

Martin Hingst
Sean and George - I really envy you! We have incredible amounts of snow here in Germany, hundreds of poor people had to stay the nights at the airports, stations or in their cars on the highways the last week. Something that may happen to me the next days, when visiting the families, about 1000 km to drive the next days. And the highways are a desaster... I remember a christmas in Namibia, is was nice and hot, we had to put the candles for the christmas tree into the fridge, and drank cool beer at the pool - well I didn`t miss the snow, to be honest ;-) Whereever you are - I wish you a nice christmas and a happy new year Martin

Heathrow airport has been at a stand-still. Many parcels have been delayed and lost, especially those destined for Scotland, as Glasgow road system ground to a halt a few weeks ago and delivery companies are still fighting the backlog while trying to keep up with the large volume of post that's typical for this time of year. I hope hope that your travels go ok Martin. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
