mobile
does any one know where i can get peat moss from i have asked at my garden centre and they said its harmful to the enviroment and hardly anywhere does it now thank you chris Local independent garden centres sometimes stock it, the large chains don't. Failing that you could get some Moorland Gold, via mail order. HERE is a link to one of the stockists.

cjr
would i be able to use irish peat moss at all ??
James O'Neill
Yes you can use Irish peat moss. I would discourage it, being from Ireland, and knowing the dreadful effects commercial peat harvesting has on our valuable bogs here. mobile
Be aware that Irish Peat Moss is very variable and some growers have had trouble with certain brands. There are a few threads on the forum about this - HERE'S one.

mattynatureboy44
I have used Clover and Shamrock Irish sphagnum moss peat with good results, and also recently tried J Arthur bowers moss peat which seems OK too, you can order this online if you can'y find any close to you. http://www.creativegardenideas.co.uk/j-art...ss-peat-100-ltr
