linuxman
The Sx'Evendine' has a Sx'Adrian Slack' look about it. But 'Evendine' is very variable I believe. Very nice, though.

diva
lovely looking plants but your evendine looks more like adrian slack to me. if you look at the evendine featured in slacks book it starts green and goes red never displaying white but i'm sure someone will prove otherwise. gardenofeden
this is Slack's picture of the original Evendine http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f377/pandalf85/1-2.jpg there seem to be a rash of imposters for this cultivar, mostly based around what looks like a xmitchelliana backcross like this http://www.triffidpark.com.au/htm_pages/ph..._s_evendine.jpg I blame Triffid Park... schimatrix
you're right Diva, thank you for your clarification. As Stephen says, there are so many different varieties in cultivation using the same name, and it's always important to remember how many plants we've almost lost ( 'Daniel Rudd', 'Judy' , etc..) because of this. surely my plant doesn't match written and photographic description for Evendine. here's a picture of the label, that I assumed to be true: there's something else, in additions to the name Evendine, I can't decipher though.. anyway this is a nice plant indeed: this particular imposter stands out by attaining pitcher height as great as 80 cm (30 inches), and.. yes, it looks a bit like adrian slack! =) giu Edited November 1, 2010 by schimatrix
gardenofeden
the plant came from me as "plant obtained as Evendine"! botom of the label is R.Tuffs, who sold it to me originally as Evendine; it clearly wasn't! schimatrix
thanks Stephen, it's always good to keep track of the origin of our plants; in any case, I like my "imposter", probably much more than the real one! ;) giu Edited November 1, 2010 by schimatrix
