stewart
Dear members of the CPUK forum, I was fortunate to recently spend a week studying Sarracenia in the wild in preparation for a new monograph on the family that I am preparing. The plants were looking stunning, so I thought I would share some of the images with you; Sarracenia alata Sarracenia leucophylla Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis Sarracenia flava var. ornata (at the end of the growing season, with pitchers suffusing red as they die back) Sarracenia psittacina More images are available at my website www.redfernnaturalhistory.com My best regards to you all Stewart

Amar
I love the bright white leuco, it's almost blindingly white, like neon-tubes! Edited October 11, 2010 by Amar
billynomates666
Wow - how lucky were you to see stunning plants like these and in a natural habitat. I do envy your experience. Thanks for posting them up. Cheers Steve
dchasselblad74
I love these wild Sarracenia images...They're all very beautiful!....I noticed the soil looks very sandy. This is the reason I love seeing plants in the wild cause it gives a better guide as to how they grow, so I can better mimmick growing conditions in cultivation...Thanks for sharing...
