Jonathan Ferreira
Hi, folks, Pics of my last travel to Chapada Diamantina, where i've found some populations of Drosera sp. Zlatokrt
Nice field report, the U. flaccida in nature is very interesting for me... but that population of D. sp. "Bahia" is amazing!

Daniel O.
Hi Jonathan, really great pictures. The landscape pictures are also very interesting. The big D. sp ´Bahia´ location is really amazing. Are these plants much smaller in diameter than D. villosa from ´Ibitipoca´? What a pity they have not been in flower. Many thanks for sharing these nice pictures. Best regards, Dani Edited October 16, 2010 by Daniel O.

Jonathan Ferreira
Thanks for comments, guys. Chapada Diamantina is a really wonderful place, with many interesting plants, including U. flaccida, D. tomentosa and D. sp. 'Bahia'... Daniel, I found some plants with approximately 7 cm in diameter and others, even with flowers, 4 cm. This is related to the amount of sunlight the plant gets, the more sunlight, red and smaller is the plant. Regards
Carlos Rohrbacher
Jonathan put new pictures os D. sp. 'Bahia' in PCBR, see the big size!
Sockhom
This is truly a spectacular and beautiful plant, I hope it's being studied and spread in cultivation right now. Thank you for sharing the pictures and information. Cheers, François.
Fernando Rivadavia
Congratulations Jonathan for finding such a beautiful population of this rare species, known to me from less than 10 sites concentrated in 3 areas in the Chapada Diamantina (Lençóis, Pico das Almas and Catolés -- and now Mucugê!). Dani, you obviously noticed that this new species resembles typical D.villosa in having very long petioles (relative to lamina). But it is less hairy and smaller. Best wishes, Fernando Rivadavia
Daniel O.
Hopefully it will be soon in cultivation, it´s really a very interesting one. Fernando, are you or somebody else working on the publication, i mean because of the name? Best regards, Dani
