Mathias Maier
Hi guys, long time, since the last update... so today, i want to show you some more interesting clones, which i have selected the last months. My other seedlings grow very well, too, and i think the next time, i can show you more and more new plants... let´s start... Rose The plant looks like a flower of a rose and it produces no traps, so it´s a non carnivorous Dionaea! ERROR At first it looks like a typical VFT, but it´s another non carnivorous Dionaea, because, it can´t close it´s traps. It has trigger hairs on each site of the trap, but they don´t work, so it´s an error! Pluto The traps are grown together in the back. red Pluto So what do you think? Best regards Matze
karl
Hi Matze, Thanks for sharing . I think that the 'Rose' is absolutely awesome . It's a pain that you're not longer interested in swap with other dionaeas ! The 'Pluto' is nice, quite close to 'Triton' . Regards, Karl
Mathias Maier
Hi Karl, yes, Rose is a very nice clone. The 'Pluto' is nice, quite close to 'Triton' I don´t think so, because Triton is completly closed in the back and has fused teeth. I have one clone more selected, at first i want to call it Goofy, but then i saw, that Stephan Glied and Christian Klein have a clone (fuzzy tooth) that looks very similar. So i decide it not to introduce, because it´s no new one! Just the same mutation at my plant! Here are some pics of it:
mantrid
Are these chemically induced poliploidy mutations (eg colchicine) or the result of selectively crossing plants with normal sets of chromosomes ?
prized
You are simply the best Mathias!!! Very good selection!!
karl
Hi Matze, Thanks for the new pics . Your plant looks quite similar to the 'Neurotic' (no longer "fuzzy tooth" which was an already reserved name) from Stefan Glied, maybe even a little bit more characteristic . However that may be, it's a nice clone !
Mathias Maier
Hi, thank you for your comments. @mantrid: no sorry, there are no chemicals in. I have every year a lot of seedlings (about 10,000) which i have made by wild crossing. And there are always interesting plants. Soon i will show you some more new clones... Best regards Matze
