And it seems that you got lucky with the growing tip dying out, because several new shoots came up. Now you just have to wait for it to flower and set seeds so you can have more! :) Just remember to keep them very warm and humid, which is how all D.indica-complex seem to like it (may not be so easy to do, with cold & dry winter approaching in the southern hemisphere...)
