Small insects and rust

Hi all,

In my terrarium almost all pots have these small insects (long more or less 1mm) that go overground at night and during the day they stay just under the surface of the soil.

Are they dangerours?

Morever...I'm using a iron wire to sustain some nepenthes but now it's going rusty...it's rust dangerours if it mixes with the soil?

They look like woodlice, which 'mostly feed on dead plant matter. Look under almost any object in the garden and you'll find them. I've not known them to be a problem.

I have seen much worse stuff, crawl out of the peat. These are probably harmless.

Woodlice indeed! They aren't harmful to plants.

I think the iron wire shouldn't be a problem if it's not in/on the soil.

If you don't trust it, consider using the type of wire with a plastic coating. It's sold in most garden centres.
