christerb
Hi, I went to Phuket recently, and took some photos of various animals, mainly bugs. I tried to find cp's, but unfortunately I wasn't successful. Most things here I couldn't identify, due to my lack of knowledge of the Thai fauna. While doing a forest walk in Kamala I found these things.... Butterfly... Termites at work on a rubber tree. A wasp that had caught a larvae. A "hopper" that I found. Small agama. A tiny Praying Mantis that was very difficult to see on the bark. I am not sure if it was adult - or a nymph, I suspect the latter. It was quite quick, and its movement was the reason I even detected it. A dragon fly, and some unknown insect. Another unidentified insect. While doing a night walk at the same location I found lots of frogs around a small stream. There were few spiders among the leaves, none very big though, perhaps 5 cm between the legs. I noticed them as the torch light reflected in their eyes. This walking stick was active as well after dark, or I simply startled it. James O'Neill
Looks awesome, it would be my sort of paradise! Another thing - that word 'Phuket' - it sounds a bit rude doesn't it?

christerb
Thanks for the comments. Although it was very hot and humid, it was a welcome break from the cold and snow. Regards, Christer
