wilnadon
Is it true that you can stratify some drosera seeds by placing them inside a damp-to-slightly wet paper tower instead of sowing them on damp spag. moss before putting them in cold storage for a month or so? Thanks all!
Loakesy
I'm sure you can stratify that way, but you'll find that Drosera seeds are so small that you'd actually be better off by stratifying them on the sphagnum peat mix you're going to sow them onto, and put the whole pot into the fridge! 8)
bobble
That method is fine for Sarra. seed, but trying to scrape tiny Drosera seed off wet kitchen rool would be a nightmare. Bobble

vic brown
All you have to do is allow the wet kitchen paper to dry out a bit and then brush the seeds off onto a piece of white card/paper and then sow them, it works for me. I don't stratify sundew seeds this way, but do soak some other species in GA-3 solutions in filter paper packages, never had any problems getting the seed off.
