David Ahrens
I have been trying to email a couple of CPS committee members through the CPS website but I still haven't received any answers. Does anyone know if the email system is working ? I have been trying to get hold of Paul McKeown and Steve Cottell. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Darren, the internet officer, is out of his office untill February, so I can't speak to him either. One of my problems is that Steve or Paul don't read this forum very often. Phil Green
I can confirm that the CPS web contacts are working. I had a fast response from Flick, to a question. So they are most likely getting your messages.

Jon Cooke
Hi Vic, If you think the elected members of the committee aren't acting in a manner you consider appropriate then you could always stand against either Paul or Steve at the next AGM. Just a thought and not a criticism of you or condoning the lack of communication from the committee. Regards Jon
Vic2
Hi Vic,If you think the elected members of the committee aren't acting in a manner you consider appropriate then you could always stand against either Paul or Steve at the next AGM. Just a thought and not a criticism of you or condoning the lack of communication from the committee. Regards Jon Well Jon, Some CPS members asked me to stand for Chairman a few months ago, but I'm no longer a member of the Committee or the CPS. The fate of a whistle-blower - even privately within the Committee - is not a happy one... I can't rejoin the Society unless I sign a prewritten Declaration, which implies that I have lied ("are without foundation and cannot be supported by fact") and prevents me voicing an opinion about the lack of communication and activity from certain key officials within the CPS. At last year's AGM, one of these openly admitted highlighting the last 3 month's unread CPS mail in their Inbox and hitting 'Delete'. This unfortunate attitude has caused - and, judging by this thread, continues to cause - significant and unnecessary trouble for the Society and its membership. In short, I must sign a false confession and gagging order to be a CPS member. Naturally enough, I can't sign it, for I've told the truth and I can prove it. (Btw, it's the attempted gagging order which has prompted me to make this post). Since all this probably sounds far-fetched and exaggerated - well, it does even to me - I've attached the interesting letter which was sent to me. If you're at all interested - and frankly, I'm not any more, I just feel saddened - PM me for the even more explicit Declaration. V2
pwilson
There does seem to be a problem with at least some of the contacts on the website. I tried emailing myself the other day and I'm definitely not ignoring my own emails! I'll get our webmaster to have a look at it and see what the problem is. Note that there is not neccessarily a problem with all the email contacts on the website. pwilson
An update on the contacts. Darren, our current webmaster has had a look and changed some incorrect email links. Anyway, it should all be working now. Phil

Andy Collins
Last post deleted by me. I do not want this on the forum any more. If you have a problem with the CPS take it up with them. Thread closed.
