fnglazz
Hi all I have recently brought myself a high definition camcorder and used it to create a video of some of my plants :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP52DFIUF3s
vraev
very nice man!! My parents got a camcorder before they went on a trip....it was a sony HDR series one. Man!! I tell ya..its freaking awsome. Here was the first sample video I made of it: I had taken some videos of my plants.... the sizes are sooo huge and the quality is soooo raw 1920 x 1080 p such that my PC can't even run it properly. Here is a downsized shot of my H. nutans. A 2 min clip was around 400-500 MB. LOL! Edited August 14, 2009 by vraev
carnivoor
Very nice. I have a question about the dark green moss you got there: I found one of those things a while back in my seedlings and after a while it started crowding them. Is that moss ok to keep with CPs or should I throw it out? It looks ok and it grows very fast but I'm not sure what to do with it.
Amar
Very cool indeed fnglazz! I liked the underlining musical score too.
fnglazz
vraev - nice video you've got there. I like how you have the letterbox video style to give it a movie feel. carnivoor - im not sure, but ive had most of the plants in the video for a year or 2 now and they've done ok with the moss. will have to get an expert opinion though :) Amar - thankyou. the music score is 'mudd' from the command and conquer game, composed by 'frank klepacki' :)

vraev
yeah.....Stephen beat me to it. :) Its polytrichum genera of mosses. They are generally found along with sphagnum in nature. In fact, during bog restoration processes, polytrichum is the first moss which germinates and nurtures a high humidity nursery for sphagnum. So yeah...its a harmless moss. infact...I know people who use it in nep mixes for the fact that its structure is very stringy and tough. Thanks Fnglazz. I used sony vegas video editing software to process and convert the movie. :) Edited August 15, 2009 by vraev
