calek
Hey everybody! I was just wondering if Rooting Hormones are OK to use with CP's. If not all of them are, please tell me which ones I can use or what it has to have in it to be labeled as 'usable on CPs'. Thanks and bye, -Calek. sativ
I tested pure solution of IAA [0,4mg/l] but id didn't work well, [i think that it was just metabolised/decomposed-natural auxine], but IBA [0,3mg/l] worked very well [on nepenthes ventrata] Roots of N.ventrata after some time of hydroponic rooting- http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4930/hpim402250.jpg Next time i think that mix of 0,3mg IBA with 0,1mg NAA/l will work better. rsivertsen
The problems I've had with various rooting hormones (both IBA and NAA, some with Vit. B1) is that the may produce a burst of roots initially, but if the cutting isn't strong enough to keep them going, they eventually fizzle out and the whole cutting just rots away. If the cutting is healthy, it roots much better without them; but that's just my experience. - Rich
andyoliver
I've never used it with CPs. They tend to root well themselves.
