LJ
Looking good Carl - if a bit green. I take it you prefer to keep them in a shadier spot! I guess thats the great thing about cephs - they seem to grow happily in sun or shade. Certainly a lot of new growth on there too - I cant lots of pitchers getting ready to open!! Heather Strangely enough, it is kept on a very sunny windowsill. The window is double glazed so perhaps that reduces the wavelengths required for colouration, which are blue and UV I believe. jimscott
Green's a nice colour!
mobile
I think that there is quite a variation in Cephalotus colouration too. For example, the one above is on my kitchen windowsill but a Cephalotus 'big boy', which is on my bathroom windowsill, takes on more colour. Both windows are on the same side of the house and only a few metres apart so recieve the same amount of light.
ada
I've just looked at my two newest cephs(Eden black and Tank ceph 2) both are grown on the same window cill, both are still producing immature pitchers. But so far the tank ceph 2 is going a nice red, while Eden black is still green! ada
