Loakesy
Is it just where I live, or has anyone else noticed a profusion of Bumble bees (Bombus terrestris) around recently? I seem to be constantly evicting them from the greenhouse, and I lost count of the amount I've rescued from a certain death, either from drowning, or from the jaws of a Sarracenia. I appreciate the fact that a couple of nests have been spotted on a plot not too far away from mine, but it can't be an isolated population surely! Phil Green
I wouldn't say there are more around than usual - at least not where I am. But like you I've rescued a couple this week from the GH and one which was actually in a pitcher.
