andyoliver
Hi all, Is there a cut off time of the year when it is best to stop dividing plants? Am I ok to continue dividing plants now?
-=Joel=-
You can divide plants all year round however it is better to divide while dormant to prevent shock. Plants divided now will probably not grow too well this season.

LJ
Which sort of plants are you talking about?? I dont worry about dividing dionaea at any time of the year - as long as you arent too rough they pick up after division pretty quickly - or atleast they seem to for me anyway! Not so sure about sarras though, they arent really a strong point of mine.....I have stuck to dividing them early spring so far. -=Joel=-
sarracenia are a tough species. You wont have a problems dividing them now, but they will slow down. Unless you NEED to divide them you might as well wait for them to go dormant again and enjoy them at there best during the summer.
