jimfoxy
Hi Andy. What in particular are you looking for? Do you want photos, cultivation instructions, biology, etc? Any particular type of CP?
Amar
there are very many books out there, but I think everybody on this forum will recommend: The Savage Garden, by Peter D'Amato. A bit dated, 1998, but still one of the best books out there.
andyoliver
Hi Andy. What in particular are you looking for? Do you want photos, cultivation instructions, biology, etc? Any particular type of CP? This is going to be very unhelpful but yeah! Mainly VFT and Drosera but CPs in general. there are very many books out there, but I think everybody on this forum will recommend: The Savage Garden, by Peter D'Amato. DaveC
I'd recommend it. Insect Eaters by Adrian Slack is pretty good too.
Tim Bailey
This is going to be very unhelpful but yeah! Mainly VFT and Drosera but CPs in general.Yeah, seen this one while looking around. Its good then? Hi Andy If looking at VFT there's the book I published on the VFT last May. Had good reviews in the ICPS and German Journal. The book is very detailed on the plants cultivation, natural history and botanical history. Not sure if too detailed for your needs but look at www.thevenusflytrapbook.com. The book comes with a CD-ROM. Excerpts from the book can be seen on the Publishers website: http://books.trafford.com/07-1224. I'm sure others who have the book will give you an unbiased view. Cheers Tim

LJ
Andy You can order it from here. Haven't read this one yet though. The other 2 mentioned are good all rounders and Stuart Mcpherson books are well known for their excellent photos..... http://www.thevenusflytrapbook.com/ Heather

andyoliver
Update - I now have Tim's book which is very good for the VFT enthusiast and Savage Garden, which also looks like a good general book for CPs. Thank you all for your help.
loligo1964
In terms of books on cultivation and general knowledge, I would still recommend The Savage Garden by Peter D'Amato and two other titles: Carnivorous Plants and Insect Eaters (a recent reprint of his excellent long out-of-print Insect Eating Plants and How To Grow Them), by Adrian Slack . . . jimfoxy
And if you want things a little more technical and more up to date then get: 'The Curious World of Carnivorous Plants: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Biology and Cultivation' by Wilhelm Barthlott.
