Guest Baphomet
I'd want to know what differences of growing there are between u.bisquamata and u.longifolia
Homer
I grow my U. longifolia in equal parts perlite, peat, LFS, and orchid bark. As for the bisquamata, it is growing in equal parts peat and sand. Basically, I treat my longifolia like Nepenthes [ no tray, top water once or twice a week]. As for light levels, I keep them about the same as well as the photoperiod [ 12 hrs winter, 16 hrs summer]. Hope this answers you question. -Homer
rocklizard
Homer, Don't u.longlifolia need much more water then neps? what has been the result of your utric? I grow mine in pure peat and plently of water. It gets direct sun in the morning for about 4hrs and then shade for the rest of the day. Result, lots of dark green leafs. Seems to be spreading in across the pot.
