JimmyJ
Hello, ;) Here are my efforts at outdoors CP growing in a desert region. My minibog shows excellent progress. :) From late spring or early summer: Now: Now, for the new stuff: An outdoors growrack. N. ventricosa - it's showing some sunburn in certain areas. Sarracenia seedlings, plastic bag removed: N. sanguinea....It got eaten by a colorful grasshopper! N. Lady Pauline - look at the leftmost leaf. It got eaten by the rainbow grasshopper! I was able to rescue it from the hungry insect just in time. D. capensis and D. binata U. gibba Cacti seedlings Jimmy :)
Daniel O.
Hi Jimmy, nice that they are growing so good for you. What Pinguicula are you growing there, to me it seem to be a north american Pinguicula. Also nice cacti seedlings. Best regards, Dani
JimmyJ
Thanks Dani, That Ping is a P. primuliflora. I have not had success with Pings so far, except for that one. :)
LJ
Looking good Jimmy! The mini bog is certainly progressing well. Im glad I dont have to worry about grasshoppers eating my nepenthes Looks like a nice open mix that you're using for your nepenthes too. JimmyJ
Thanks Heather! Soon enough winter will be here and there will be no more troublesome grasshoppers! And yes, I am leaning more towards more aggregate-based Nep mixes and starting to move away from peat and LFS. It's a very slow process.
