Petr D.
Hi, it's been some time since my vft seeds germinated, and they are doing pretty well now. I was wondering, whether it's good time to repot them or not. There has been also some gnat larvae activity inside the box. So far I have been manualy picking them from the soil. Thanks Peter
LJ
Entirely up to you if you repot them now or wait. You should be able to repot seedlings anytime as long as you're careful. If you decide to leave them where they are for a while longer then it might be worth giving them a dose of provada soil drench (or something similar) to get rid of the gnat larvae......... FlytrapCare
How does one go about repotting seedlings? I have a ton of them and I was thinking about repotting, but they are so tiny, I have no idea how I would do it without damaging them. Alexis
Just dig them out with your fingers, or with a teaspoon. The VFTs in the photo look ok to me. They should last another year or two in there.
LJ
Yep, I vote for the teaspoon!! Works well for me but if you dont need to move them or are worried about doing so then just leave them in the same place until they're bigger and easier to handle.......... Trev
They look to small to be ready for a re-pot, I would leave them for a year.
Username
That's about the size my are now (though yours are slightly bigger and have more traps). I'm just planning to leave mine until I have to repot. I don't know why I would want to put them through all the stress now when there's no real need. Petr D.
Aight, thanks for the fast reps. I'll leave them in the box as long as i can keep the larvae from eating them ;-)
