I am having one more go at growing Gibba. Last time I grew it in a large glass bottle in my conservatory where the Gibba was quickly 'destroyed' by water snails. This time it is outdoors in a big green tub without any signs of snails. My thanks go to Bob H. for all his help.

Must see flowers!

I hope to see a few flowers before the Autumn/Fall, it will make my Gibba project all worth while. I'll take pictures for you, keep watching this space!

always got flowers when i allowed the water level to drop. I've always found algae to be a major problem as well, so best of luck............... :banging:

Well, that looks cleaner than when I sent it :banging:

I should have popped some Frofbit in with it, that helps reduce the light levels, or one of those long bamboo skewers used for the barbie .... poke and twist and out comes the filamentous algae :nuke:

Keep us posted.

Somebody else confirmed that it flowers when it senses dryness. He also said that it needs to have a substrate of muck!
