fitheglasscatfish
I am just thinking here, some of the Byblis need bush fire conditions to set them off, would using a bee smoker work? Fix

rsivertsen
Back in my "early days" of growing CPs and this plant in particular (somewhere i the early twelfth century, I think), I used to shove the seeds into a deep pot od some damp sand, place a dry piece of paper over them, and set fire to it. The quick flames not only provided a brief exposure to heat, in order to denature the growth inhibitors, but also deposited some nutrients and ash onto the surface, which also may have benefited the seed and seedlings. - Rich
Dicon
No experience with Byblis, however, I just held a match under the seed pods of the "Bottle Brush Plant" for a few seconds until it started to crackle and spit. Thousands germinated!
Jens R.
I use GA3 (1 mg/ml) and have had good results with all Byblis species. I let the smaller species soak for 3 days, the larger ones for a week. Much easier than fire. Regards Jens
